Colonial ascidians, like this one, are related to the sea squirts you might find in tidal rock pools and are made up of many tiny individuals. This Aplidium falklandicum specimen was collected off Hunt Island (Gerlache Strait, Antarctic Peninsula) at around 350 meters depth.
