ARTWORK: Metamorphosis
The 'Metamorphosis' artwork was created using Coca-Cola bottle caps/lids collected from the coast of Scotland. A kind of ‘metamorphosis’ showing how detrimental the bottle caps are to the environment, and the wider problem these pose when they brake away into micro plastics. These images highlight the disfiguration and distortion of the caps, deteriorated from abrasion and time spent in the sea.

Plastic Waste Artworks by Mandy Barker
In the summer of 2017, artist and photographer Mandy Barker joined Greenpeace’s Beluga II Expedition visiting remote islands off the west coast of Scotland. The islands were blighted with plastic pollution. Mandy collected and sorted through the plastic packaging and created three series of fascinating compositions to support the End Ocean Plastics campaign and help deepen our understanding of this issue.
