Alison Sudol, and Greenpeace head of oceans campaign Will McCallum.

cluding seafloor submarine dives, to highlight the urgent need for the creation of a 1.8 million
square kilometre Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary to safeguard species like whales and penguins.
SHOTLIST
1. 00:00:05 - 00:01:31 DAVID HARBOUR - DANCE OF THE PENGUINS
2. 00:01:31 – 00:02:51 SOUNDBITE ALISON SUDOL AND DAVID HARBOUR
DAVID HARBOUR: “When I first got on this trip I didn’t care so much about it. I mean
it was kind of a lark, it was kind of a joke to me. The more I’m here, the more I start to
understand and feel the majesty and the primalness of a place like this. This should
be protected and kept pristine so that it can ripple through to the rest of the world.
DAVID HARBOUR: “It would be a shame if industry came in here and tapped all it’s
resources. I think there are places in the world that are ment to be left untouched and
be left as these primal places that can help in things like climate change and can help
keep the world in balance.”
ALISON SUDOL: “You have the opportunity right now to preserve something which is
still in good shape. Let’s not wait until there is something like we see in many other
parts of the world where there is actual degradation. There is an issue across the
planet but Antarctica is still pretty pristine. Do it now. Think ahead while we can.”
3. 00:02:51 – 00:03:47 VAR GENTOO PENGUINS and ANTARCTIC SKUA
4. 00:03:47 - 00:04:12 VAR AERIALS, GREENPEACE SHIP ARCTIC SUNRISE

5. 00:04:12 – 00:04:18 FUR SEAL
6. 00:04:18 – 00:05:01 SOUNDBITE WILL McCALLUM (Head of Greenpeace
oceans campaign)
“We’ve just shot David Harbour dancing with penguins. He came good on his Twitter
promise. And it’s amazing that David Harbour and Alison Sudol are have both come
down here to this amazing place to help Greenpeace campaign for an Antarctic
Ocean Sanctuary.
This year, governments from across the world have an opportunity to create the
worlds largest protected area. An Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary. Greenpeace are down
here doing vital science work and raising awareness about the need to protect this
unbelievable ecosystem. All around us we can see penguins, whales, seals and they
all depend on the same tiny shrimp like crustaceans called Krill. We need to put this
area off limit to human activities. Off limit to the fishing industry and create a safe
haven for the wildlife around us.
