Whaling Action at IWC Conference in Germany
On Germany's highest mountain Zugspitze, Greenpeace activists erect a 15 mtr long inflatable whale and display a banner that reads: '300.000 tote Wale jaehrlich. Walkonferenz in Berlin. Das ist der Gipfel!' and the English equivalence: '300,000 dead Whales and Dolphins every year. Whaling Commission in Berlin. Act now!'. The action marks the forthcoming International Whaling Commission (IWC) held in Berlin on the 16th to the 19th of June 2003.

Aktion gegen Walfang auf Zugspitze
Auf Deutschlands hoechstem Berg, der Zugspitze, haben Greenpeace-Aktivisten einen 15 Meter langen aufblasbaren Wal "Floh" aufgebaut. Auf einem Banner steht: "300.000 tote Wale jaehrlich - Walfangkonferenz Berlin: Das ist der Gipfel!". Greenpeace appelliert damit an die Regierungsvertreter der 55. Tagung der Internationalen Walfangkommission (IWC), die vom 16. bis 19. Juni in Berlin statt findet, sich nicht laenger ueber Fangquoten zu streiten, sondern fuer einen umfassenden Schutz der bedrohten Tiere zu sorgen.
