Climate Banner on Saint Stephan's Cathedral
Greenpeace Austria hangs a 150 m² banner on the very famous Saint Stephan’s Cathedral (Stephansdom) in the centre of Vienna, and activists hold small banners to communicate to passersby. The banners read:"'XI. Du sollst nicht zerstoeren deines Naechsten Klima", translated to English: “Thou shalt not destroy your neighbor’s climate,” and “Stop CO2.” The action is part of a co-operation with the campaign “Klima Fair Bessern”, which is the climate change campaign of different church organizations in Austria. Greenpeace is calling for a fair and ambitious Austrian position in the Copenhagen Climate Conference and its pre-meetings.
