GMO Papaya Acquittal Case
Natwipha Ewasakul, Greenpeace Southeast Asia Sustainable Agriculture Campaigner give interview to the press after welcoming the acquittal of two of its activists, Dr Jiragorn Gajaseni and Ms Patwajee Srisuwan, who are defendants in a landmark trial involving contamination from GMOs or genetically modified food crops. The activists were accused of criminal charges by the Department of Agriculture (DoA) after Greenpeace exposed the government agency's role in the illegal release of GMO papaya, causing the countryÕs most massive GMO contamination case to date.
