Climate Action at Coal Transit Point in Poland
Greenpeace activists climb the gantry crane of a transit point where coal is being re-loaded from Russian trains onto Polish trains, display a banner and stop the operations. Coal burning is the greatest threat to our climate, accounting for over 40% of all fossil fuel CO2 emissions. With this action Greenpeace is calling on Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to show climate solidarity at the upcoming EU Summit in Brussels, and to commit EU climate funding for developing countries.
