Appeal of Whaling Investigation Decision
Greenpeace Japan staff Junichi Sato and Jun Hoshikawa lodge an appeal to Japan’s Prosecution Inquest Committee, requesting that it review the Tokyo Public Prosecutor’s decision to drop its investigation into embezzlement in the so-called “research” whaling fleet. Junichi Sato is one of the "Tokyo Two" Greenpeace activists detained for uncovering major corruption in the Japanese whaling program. Left to right the photo shows: Greenpeace Japan's Junichi Sato, Greenpeace Japan's Director Jun Hoshikawa, and Sanjiv Gopal of Greenpeace India.
