Youth Climate Parliament Austria

Greenpeace and the Austrian National Youth Council invite to the youth-climate-parliament. 150 children and teenagers have the opportunity to discuss the position Austria will take at the UN-climate-conference in Kopenhagen with the spokespersons of environment of the parties of the Parliament as well as pose their questions to the politicians in the plenary hall of the Parliament. The children hold banners reading "Energy (R)evolution Climate Solution" and "Klimaschutz Jetzt" in english "Protect the Climate Now".

Earlier on in the fall the pupils handed over their demands to the chairperson of the Environment Committee, Christiane Brunner. These demands have been brought into the Parliament through a petition that will be treated in the Environment Committee.
