A lake of melt water on the surface of the Petermann glacier. The surface of the glacier is covered with pools and lakes like this, the blue colour changing with the different depths of water -darker for deeper water. The melt water exploits the topography of the glacier, occasionally finding routes deeper into the glacier's structure.
