GE Canadian Imported Canola Growing Wild in Japan
Measurement of thickness of stem from genetically engineered Canola (oilseed rape) taken from rice field, Suzaka, Japan. The stem is thick and appears well established. Genetic testing has shown that imported Canadian GE canola has escaped into the wild all along the shipping and transport route of the crop. These herbicide resistant GE Canola plants pose a serious threat of genetic contamination of related crops and weeds.
