Textile Company in Pearl River Delta Region
A family lives next to the Qingyuan Top Dragon Textile company which discharges chemicals into the area's waters. Hormone disrupting alkyl phenols, priority hazardous chemicals under EU legislation, were found in samples of wastewater discharge from the facility. Wastewater is discharged from Top Dragon via an underground channel which flows into a nearby stream approximately 100 metres from the facility.
