Humboldt Glacier in Greenland
A large tabular berg measuring some 100 metres across, has recently calved from the Humboldt glacier into the waters of Kane Basin. This section of the 110 kilometer Humboldt calving front, is at the northern end, just past a floating tongue which projects from the glacier . Humboldt is the widest glacier in the northern hemisphere.
