Greenpeace activists hold a flare and display a banner reading in French "Russia is not a waste dump" while blocking a train transporting nuclear waste in the Valenton railway station. The shipment is due to be loaded onto the transport ship Kapitan Kuroptev and is destined for Russia. Other activists chained themselves to the rail-car to stop the train moving and halt its progression towards Montoir-de-Bretagne port. Greenpeace is calling for a moratorium on the export of nuclear waste.
