Greenpeace and the Naturfreunde (Friends of Nature) organise an alpine action at the Goldbergkees glacier in the province of Salzburg to make aware of global warming and encourage the Austrian Government to support an ambitious deal at the Copenhagen conference in December. After ascending to the glacier, activists unfurl two huge banners. The yellow one reads: „SOS Gletscher: Klimaschutz jetzt!“, in english: „SOS Glacier: Save the Climate Now!“. The white one carries the name of a campaign: „1.000.000 Taten für den Klimaschutz“ (in english: „1.000.000 Acts to Save the Climate“).
