Angry Spanish fishermen demonstrate against Greenpeace. The fishermen boarded the MV Esperanza and tussled with crew members and the police as the Greenpeace ship arrived in the port of Vigo. Greenpeace arrived in Vigo during a UN General Assembly meeting to discuss deep sea trawling in international waters and a moratorium against the practice. Greenpeace had spent a month in the North Atlantic documenting the damage to marine life caused by deep sea trawling.
