Action against the Taiwanese Longliner Ho Tsai Fa 18 in the Pacific
Activists on an inflatable hold a banner reading 'Pirate of the Pacific' and approach the Taiwanese longliner Ho Tsai Fa 18 to inspect its catch. The activists concluded that the fishing vessel is contributing to the overfishing of bigeye and yellowfin tuna and sharks between Papua New Guinea and the Federated States of Micronesia. Greenpeace is calling for these pockets of international waters between Pacific island countries to become marine reserves.
