Whaling Action at Ministry in Oslo
Action against Japanese votebuying within IWC outside the Ministry for Foreign affairs in Oslo. The banners say 'Stopp stemmehandel' or 'Stop votebuying'. Greenpeace activists piled up Japanese whalemeat boxes, and urged the Norwegian government to take a stand against Japans votebuying. By giving foreign aid to small countries, Japan tries to get these countries votes in the IWC (International Whaling Commission) in order to get a majority for a return to commercial whaling.
