Genetically engineered Canola (oilseed rape) growing wild beside a rice field located on transport route between Yokkaichi port and oil crushing factory, Suzuka, Japan. Genetic testing has shown that imported Canadian GE canola has escaped into the wild all along the shipping and transport route of the crop. These herbicide resistant GE Canola plants pose a serious threat of genetic contamination of related crops and weeds.
