‘KFC Amazon Criminal’ Action in Brazil
Protest against the sale of Soya grown in deforested areas of the Amazon. Greenpeace activists display a banner reading ‘KFC Amazon Criminal’ in a soya plantation near Santarem. This is a protest against Kentucky Fried Chicken selling chicken fed with Amazon soya in their stores. The product comes from a company called Cargill, a soy facility responsible for the exports. The expansion of soya is one of the leading causes of forest destruction.
