Greenpeace occupation of "Ground Zero" at the Nevada nuclear test site in protest at the continued testing of nuclear weapons by the US despite nuclear test moratoriums by the Russians and the French. The activists climbed the 150' drilling tower (used to lower the nuclear device into the earth for underground detonation) and locked themselves onto the stucture while displaying a banner reading "STOP NUCLEAR TESTING NOW - GREENPEACE".
