Hurricane Sandy Aftermath in NJ
An image combo gives a before and after glimpse of a group of houses on Ocean Avenue in Mantoloking that were ravaged by Hurricane Sandy. The top image, provided by a property owner shows the homes before Hurricane Sandy. The bottom row of images show an Oct. 30, 2012 view of the devastation after high winds and a record-breaking storm surge on Oct. 29 killed people destroyed homes and left more than six million without power. Hurricane Sandy is an example of the extreme weather we can expect to see with continued climate change - - in fact, storms will continue to become more frequent and more severe.
