Polar Bears Invade Brussels Motor Show
Greenpeace activists dressed as polar bears protest close to the 90th European Motor Show in Brussels. The activists hold placards that say: "Stop Volkswagen Destroying The Arctic". Volkswagen is lobbying against low carbon laws that would help curb climate change. Dozens of activists & campaigners dressed as polar bears over run the 90th Brussels Motor Show. The action is the latest in a Greenpeace campaign targeting Volkswagen, one of the world’s biggest car companies as the industry giant is attempting to undermine a planned new EU law that would make cars more efficient. Such moves will encourage drilling for oil in fragile environments like the Arctic, where a spill would have a devastating impact.
