Pulp and Paper Concession Protest
A team of Greenpeace motorcyclists dressed as tigers enter the PT Arara Abadi concession. This company forms the pulp division of the Sinar Mas Group said to be responsible for destroying peatland forest areas - the last remaining habitat of the Sumatran tiger. Greenpeace's 'Tiger's Eye Tour' was launched to bear witness to the real condition of Indonesia's forests. Greenpeace is urging the government to review existing concessions and protect peatland and urges industries to implement a zero deforestation policy in their operations.
