Why Arctic Sea Ice Melting Matters
A web video created surrounding the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) announcement that the Arctic Sea Ice has plummeted to the second lowest level in recorded history on September 15th 2011. A team of scientists from Cambridge University were on board Greenpeace ship, Arctic Sunrise, using the latest in 3D technology to measure the thickness and volume of the rapidly retreating sea ice in the Arctic region.
