Confronting Russian Seismic Vessel in Barents Sea
Greenpeace activists confront the Rosneft-contracted vessel Akademik Lazarev, which is carrying out seismic exploration in the Russian Arctic. Activists in inflatable boats meet the seismic vessel with the banner messages: "Rosneft Don't Kill the Arctic," and "Save the Arctic." Includes shots of German activist Daniel Rawer attempting to record the sound of the underwater cannons, and soundbite from Daniel Rawer. Greenpeace is in the Russian Arctic to expose and confront Russian oil company Rosneft and its Western partners like Exxon Mobil, Statoil and BP, who are preparing to drill in the region.
