Solar Energy Lights on Borobudur Temple
Greenpeace volunteers hold LED lights to spell 'Enlightenment' in front of Borobudur temple, the world's largest Buddhist monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, during the closing ceremony of 'Solarising Borobudur'.
The project, initiated by Greenpeace, together with the Borobudur Conservation Agency (Balai Konservasi Borobudur), is to urge the Indonesian government to implement a massive uptake of renewable energy sources and to decrease dependence on dirty fossil fuels such as coal.
