Solar Energy Lights on Borobudur Temple
A newly installed solar powered lamp to be used to light up Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The project, initiated by Greenpeace, together with the Borobudur Conservation Agency (Balai Konservasi Borobudur) is to urge the Indonesian government to implement a massive uptake of renewable energy sources and to decrease dependence on dirty fossil fuels such as coal.
