German Chancellor Angela Merkel visits the 65th International Motor Show IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) in Frankfurt, that takes place from the 10th until the 22nd of September 2013. Merkel stresses that the goal is and remains to have one million electric cars on the German roads by 2020. She also urges the EU's Executive Commission to provide reasonable targets for future CO² emissions in the automobile industry. The first IAA starts in 1897 in Berlin. Since the 35th edition in 1951 the show is yearly held in Frankfurt.
