Aktion gegen Gentech-Soja in Iglo-Hühnersticks

30 Greenpeace Aktivisten blockieren das Hauptgebäude des Unilever Konzerns in Wien. Sechs Kletterer entrollten auf dem Hauptgebäude ein Transparent mit der Aufforderung „Iglo: Stop Gentech Produkte“. Eine aktuelle Gentech Analyse des österreichischen Umweltbundesamtes im Auftrag von Greenpeace hatte in Iglo Hühnersticks Gentech-Soja nachgewiesen. Die Unilever Tochter Iglo ließ die Konsumenten über die Gentech-Soja-Verwendung im Unklaren. Die Iglo Hühnersticks wurden gesetzeswidrig ungekennzeichnet verkauft. Greenpeace hat daher heute in allen Bundesländern auch Anzeige wegen der fehlenden Gentech-Kennzeichnung erstattet.

30 Greenpeace activists block the main entrance of the Unilever office in Vienna. Six climbers unfurl a banner with the text “Stop GM Products” from the top of the main building. A current GM analysis of the Austrian federal environmental agency proved GM-Soy in Iglo chicken sticks. The subsidiary company of Unilever, Iglo, did not inform their clients about the usage of GM-Soy. Iglo sticks has therefore been illegally sold without any GM branding.
