Currently, one-third of all carbon dioxide emissions come from burning coal. Greenpeace is calling on the Thai government to quit coal and increase energy efficiency. The impacts of sea-level rise due to climate change are predicted to hit hard on coastal countries in Asia. Greenpeace is also calling on G8 countries for decisive action against climate change, pointing out that developing countries like Thailand face dire consequences of inaction by the world’s richest countries.
