Amazon Protest March in Zurich
A capoeira group performing at a rally for the protection of the Amazon forest to which Greenpeace Switzerland, the Society for Threatened Peoples (GfbV) and the Climate Camp had called.
At the march in Zurich 300 people draw attention to the fact, that by the changes in the Brazilian forest law, the green lung of the earth has been in acute danger.

Juni 2012: Zwei Wochen vor Beginn des UNO-Umweltgipfels Rio+20 haben Greenpeace Schweiz, die Gesellschaft für bedrohte Völker (GfbV) und das Klimacamp heute zu einer Kundgebung für den Amazonas aufgerufen. Mit einem friedlichen Demonstrationszug und anschliessendem Trommelkonzert von 'Oficina de Percussão’, 'Zussamba’ und 'Rhythm Family’ haben 300 Menschen auf der Zürcher Rathausbrücke darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass die grüne Lunge der Erde durch die Veränderungen im brasilianischen Waldgesetz in akute Gefahr geraten ist. © Greenpeace / Ivan Suta
