The Trinity Spirit, a Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit (FPSO) exploded on 2nd February 2022 off the coast of Nigeria. The oil production ship was carrying possibly two million barrels of oil, with a processing capacity of 22,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The Shebah Exploration and Production Company Limited (Sepcol) operated vessel later sunk in Nigeria's Delta State in the Gulf of Guinea.
