Collection: Peatlands Regulations and Under Fire Report

Over several months in late 2015, Indonesia suffered thousands of fires, driven in large part by clearing and draining of forests and peatlands for the plantation industry. This collection taken from the air after the fires illustrates some of the processes which caused the fires, and their aftermath. The fires will continue to blight Indonesia's people and environment unless strong new legislation is put in place, and enforced, to protect forests and peatlands.
