Shoot: Giant Fish Filled with Plastic Trash Appears in Seoul

GP1SWNO6
Activists from Greenpeace Seoul in several locations place a “fish” filled with plastic trash and banners in front of South Korean F&B companies Lotte Chilsung, CJ JaeilJaedang and Nongshim HQ, calling for the food and beverage companies to disclose their plastic usage and make commitment to a plastic reduction plan.
According to a Greenpeace survey, top 10 F&B companies were responsible for 23.9% of plastic trash collected by 841 households for one week. Only Lotte Chilsung has disclosed the past 3 year plastic usage. None of the companies has committed to a plastic reduction plan.
Greenpeace is pressing the F&B industry for the disclosure of plastic usage and commitment to reducing plastic use.
