Greenpeace activists climbed on the chimney of the coal fired power plant 'Hemwegcentrale'. They painted the slogan Stop CO2 in huge letters on the chimney and activists chained themselves to the plant. They had to be cut loose by a special police unit.
One day later Greenpeace received a damage claim of two million guilders from energy production company UNA for damage done to the 185 meter long chimney. According to UNA scaffolds have to be used to remove the slogan. The slogan was removed on April 5th.
