Dutch Minister of Agriculture and Nature Carola Schouten receives a massive appeal for a European Forestry Act in the form of a green heart from WWF and Greenpeace Netherlands directors Marieke Harteveld (center) and Anna Schoemakers (right). The appeal comes from more than 80,000 concerned Dutch people who signed the joint forest petition of Greenpeace and WWF. This petition encourages the government to stand up in Europe for a forest law that sets sustainability requirements for products such as meat, soy, palm oil and cocoa that are traded on the European market.
