Action against poor water management in Barrios de Luna Reservoir, Barrios de Luna, León, Castilla y León, Spain.
Greenpeace climbers have deployed a giant banner, larger than 1,500 square meters, on the bridge of the Barrios de Luna reservoir. The aim of the action is to denounce that the mismanagement and waste of water is the cause of the drought in the region. The activists demand urgent measures that foresee and mitigate the effects of the drought.
The banner, reading "Sequía = mala gestión" (Bad management = Drought), is the largest that Greenpeace has ever deployed in Spain. The activists needed a mile and a half of ropes and 50 anchors to hold more than 120 kilos of weight.
